Valve has announced that they will be launching the first closed beta of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2, and a select group of players will have the opportunity to participate. If you’re interested in taking part, here’s How to Access CS:GO 2 Limited Test:
How to Access CS:GO 2 Limited Test:
Step 1: Launch CS:GO on Steam and Check for Invitation
- First, launch the CS:GO game on Steam and check the Main Menu for a beta invitation. If there’s a popup window offering beta enrollment, click on “ENROLL.”
Step 2: Download and Install CS:GO 2 Data
- After enrolling, the CS:GO 2 data will begin to download. Wait for the download til finish.
Step 3: Relaunch Steam and Select Limited Test in Main Menu
- Once the download is finished, relaunch Steam and select “Limited Test” from the CS:GO Main Menu.
How do Valve Pick the Tester:
Valve handpicks the testers based on several criteria, including playtime on official CS:GO servers, VAC status on Steam, and trust factor. Therefore, beginner players and those with bad Steam standing are not likely to get invited. It’s also important to note that there are no access keys available, so be careful of scams offering access.
If you’re lucky enough to be selected, you’ll have the opportunity to play Deathmatch and Unranked Competitive matches on Dust2, access your CS:GO inventory items (but won’t be able to modify them), and earn XPs that will be carried over to the official launch.
The closed beta is available only on Steam and for Windows devices, and you won’t be able to play on community servers. Competitive cooldowns of CS:GO also carry over to the closed beta. Additionally, Valve has promised more free content for testers, including new maps and modifications.
if you’re interested in participating in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2 limited test, launch CS:GO on Steam, look for a beta invitation in the Main Menu, and follow the enrollment instructions. Good luck!
