KRAFTON, the folks behind PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and PUBG MOBILE, just revealed their latest game, Dark and Darker Mobile, at the G-STAR 2023 gaming event in Busan, South Korea. This is the first time we’re getting a look at the game since KRAFTON teamed up with IRONMACE for an exclusive global licensing deal to bring their popular gaming hit to mobile.

Created by KRAFTON’s Bluehole Studio, Dark and Darker Mobile combines dungeon crawling, RPG depth, and the survival tension of battle royale. It aims to recreate the exciting extraction-based gameplay that made the original game a hit. The game is being designed specifically for mobile users, drawing on KRAFTON’s extensive experience in mobile gaming to ensure smooth and enjoyable gameplay.
Rafael Lim, Senior Head of Publishing Business Division at KRAFTON, expressed excitement about debuting Dark and Darker Mobile at G-STAR 2023. Lim mentioned, “We believe that Dark and Darker Mobile will connect with mobile players by capturing the essence of the PC version with engaging survival mechanics, immersive exploration, and intense extraction gameplay. Our aim is to exceed fan expectations and deliver a truly unique mobile gaming experience.”
In Dark and Darker Mobile, players can choose from five classes (Fighter, Barbarian, Ranger, Rogue, and Cleric) and embark on a thrilling journey filled with hidden treasures, unique environments, and emergent gameplay. As adventurers explore dark dungeons for untold riches, a mysterious force called the Darkswarm gradually brings opposing players and other threats closer together. To survive and escape with their loot, players must find an escape portal before it’s too late. Each adventure promises a unique story with the potential for limitless treasures or utter doom.
