Hoyoverse is set to release a special live stream called ‘Boarding Preparation Special Program’ to announce the Honkai Star Rail release date. Here is the information.
HoYoverse, the developer behind Genshin Impact, has announced the premiere of its latest RPG, Honkai: Star Rail, with a special program livestream. The upcoming game has already generated significant buzz with its trailers and closed beta tests, giving players an early look into the sci-fi adventure.
Honkai: Star Rail serves as a spin-off of the studio’s original flagship game, Honkai Impact 3rd, with a few significant changes. The game will feature an explorable open world, similar to that of Genshin Impact, but will swap its action RPG combat for a turn-based system.
Last month, the RPG opened its pre-registration, coinciding with the final closed beta test. With millions of pre-registrations, the game’s initial pre-launch campaign has already been a massive success, toppling the highest milestone with over 5,000,000 users.

To further excite fans, HoYoverse has scheduled a “Boarding Preparation Special Program” livestream, which will air on Friday, March 24th, at 7:30 AM Eastern time. The broadcast will confirm Honkai: Star Rail’s release date and provide information about the game’s pre-installation. Although HoYoverse has not released many details about the contents of the broadcast, the stream will likely include more information about Honkai: Star Rail’s story and initial launch plans, with a special appearance from the company’s CEO, Liu Wei.
While the game will officially reveal its release date during Friday’s livestream, previous leaks have placed Honkai: Star Rail’s release window in late April, based on a leak from mobile app stores. The game may also feature a release window similar to Genshin Impact, with HoYoverse’s flagship RPG launching just two months after the conclusion of its final closed beta test.
Players who have pre-registered for Honkai: Star Rail will receive a range of rewards on launch day, including a free four-star character and tickets for the game’s gacha.
Honkai: Star Rail’s impending release comes as part of a plethora of major plans for HoYoverse’s games throughout the year. The company is also developing Genshin Impact’s newest region, Fontaine, which is expected to arrive later this year, as well as another new RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, which was announced during last year’s Summer Game Fest.
