Konami recently announced that they will be shutting down the popular mobile game, Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel on September 4, 2023. The announcement was made through the official Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel Twitter account.
The company also revealed that they will be making some adjustments to login bonuses and other gifts so that players can continue to enjoy the game until the end of its service. However, all sales of the game’s premium currency, Crystals, have ceased after the announcement.

Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel was launched less than a year ago, on September 6, 2022, for both iOS and Android devices. While the official announcement cited “various circumstances” as the reason for the game’s termination, no further details were given.
Before the game’s service ends, Konami will be implementing a new event, cards, and raid. A new event based on Yu-Gi-Oh SEVENS will be released on April 4, 2023, which includes new cards. In addition, a new raid event with even more cards will be added on April 13, 2023.
As more information about the termination of service becomes available, Konami will be releasing updates on the official website and the Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel app. It’s sad news for fans of the game, but it’s great to see that Konami is making efforts to keep players engaged until the very end. Stay tuned for more updates!
