Pokemon TCG Live is Coming Soon Next Month

The Pokémon Company announced back in 2021 that they would be releasing a new card game called Pokemon TCG Live. While fans already had Pokémon TCG Online, a digital version of the card game, the company decided that a complete refresh was necessary. Now, after a beta testing period in a few countries last November, Pokémon TCG Live is set to launch worldwide in June 2023.

On June 5th at 9:00 am PDT, Pokémon TCG Online will be removed from all stores and its servers will be closed. From that point on, Pokémon TCG Live will be the only digital version of the game available. Despite its large player base and community support, the developers decided that a complete refresh was necessary.

The good news is that migration from Pokémon TCG Online is still possible, and players can carry over their accounts and collections at any point. There is no deadline for migration, and the official FAQ has important information about the process.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Live launches on June 8th, and the timing is perfect because it coincides with the release of the latest TCG expansion, Scarlet & Violet – Paldea Evolved. This means that players will have access to over 15 new Pokémon ex, including Chien-Pao and Ting-Lu, right off the bat.

Players who log into the game before its release will receive a unique global beta coin, deck box, and card sleeves. So, eager fans can already drop in and get a taste of the game thanks to the currently available global beta.

Overall, the launch of Pokémon Trading Card Game Live marks an exciting new chapter for the Pokémon TCG family. While it may take some time for fans to adapt to the new version, the refresh promises to be a worthy successor to its predecessor. So, mark your calendars for June 8th and get ready to catch ’em all in a whole new way!
