During Nintendo Direct a few days prior, SQUARE ENIX announced OCTOPATH TRAVELER II, the next instalment in the critically acclaimed OCTOPATH TRAVELER RPG series, and revealed that it will be launch worldwide on February 24, 2023.

Players will go on an adventurous trip through the brand-new planet of Solistia in OCTOPATH TRAVELER II. This chapter, created by the same team that created the renowned original, which has sold over three million copies worldwide*, builds on the series’ trademark HD-2D visuals: a striking combination of nostalgic 2D characters in a magnificent 3D environment.
The game’s new storyline, characters, and features make it ideal for series newcomers while also retaining the charm of the original game for veteran players. Players can expect to follow the journey of eight distinct protagonists as they explore the land and defeat enemies in strategic turn-based battles on their own adventure.
Some of the new and returning features include Break and Boost battle system, Path Action, Brand New Story and Character, Day/Night Cycle, Latent Power and lastly Crossed Paths. The character introduces in this new story includes Hikari a warrior, Agnea a Dancer, Partitio a Merchant, Osvald a Scholar, Throne a Thief, Temenos a Cleric, Ochette a Hunter and Castti an Apothecary.
OCTOPATH TRAVELER II is now available for pre-order in a Standard Digital Edition for the PS5 and PS4, as well as a Standard Physical Edition for the PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, and is said to be released on February 24, 2023.
